025: The Portrait of a Servant

025: The Portrait of a Servant

How often do you see the needs of others around you when your own needs are pressing? Serving others is a vital way to keep our perspective when we’re most tempted to lose it.

It requires humility, compassion, and of course, taking action!

In our latest episode of “In the Meanwhile,” we discuss the Christian’s role as a servant and what that looks like in our own times of waiting for God.

This episode of “In the Meanwhile” is sponsored byHeaven by the Book. How much do you really know about Heaven? Take the quiz here.

Food for Thought:

1 Peter 4:10 – Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

In order for Christ to be the focal point, we must decrease and He must increase.

Servanthood may be the hardest part, but it’s also the best part.

Quote for Thought:
Christians ought to be the servants of both God and people. But most of us approach business and work and life in general with the attitude, “what can I get rather than what can I give?” – Jerry White (from Honesty, Morality and Conscience)

Calls to Action:

  1. Look around you to see what the needs are.
  2. Pray for the eyes to see where God would have you serve.
  3. Do what you can do.
